The Specialists Role Play

This is an initiative by old hosts, devs, mappers, and players to organize a yearly return to TSRP, for one or two months at a time. Using all-original assets, and a little bit of modern management, design and development (even fixing ancient bugs), we will try to provide a traditional, optimized and engaging TSRP experience for players old and new.

Setup Guide

  1. Join the Summer of TSRP 2025 discord at discord.gg/zNJsTa5a4s
  2. Buy/install Half Life on Steam
  3. In your steam games library, right click Half Life, click Properties. Click Betas in the menu on the left, in Beta Participation select steam_legacy
  4. Download The Specialists 3.0 mod from ModDB and set install path to
    C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Half-Life/
  5. Restart steam, start The Specialists
  6. Click configure, set a character name like:
    Firstname 'Nickname' Lastname
  7. Configure your game for widescreen if necessary, in the launch parameters or video options.
  8. Browse servers, join the 'Summer of TSRP server' in the Specialists
